Kilonova: Afterglow is the final timepiece in the Kilonova trilogy, honouring the last phase of the cosmic events that forge all gold in the universe.
The striking dial is coated in an ultra-black pigment, absorbing 99.4% of visible light. This void is then intentionally broken by natural cracks (a nod to the Japanese Kintsugi art form), allowing a brilliant contrast to shine through. The unique crack pattern ensures that every single dial is one-of-a-kind.
Limited to just 50 units built in Melbourne Australia, time is marked by hand-made hour and minute hands featuring an interlocking orb and half-moon design, symbolizing the intense jets of high-energy particles ejected by a Kilonova event.
